White Goods 2 and White Goods 3 are ambiguous and provocative concepts of how architectural space is produced. The White Goods series incorporates video, sculpture and photographs. Walsh juxtaposes found objects creating new yet recognizable spaces. The collected objects both confirm and examine our relationship to the buildings we inhabit. Yet their physical placement within the gallery adds a vital energy to the works that interrogate the space rather than occupy it. In these works, what you see is not necessarily what you get, and what you get may well not mean what it seems.
