White Goods 2 and White Goods 3 are ambiguous and provocative concept of how architectural space is produced. The White Goods series incorporates video, sculpture and photographs. Walsh juxtaposes found objects creating new yet recognizable spaces. The collected objects both confirm and examine our relationship to the buildings we inhabit. Yet their physical placement within the gallery adds a vital energy to the works that interrogate the space rather than occupy it. Furthermore, the video White Goods 3 references the voice of one of the last recorded castrati adding further layers relating to these ideas. In these works, what you see is not necessarily what you get, and what you get may well not mean what it seems.
